Lower end of range will apply to candidates who meet minimum experience or have limited years of relevant experience. The higher end of range will apply to seasoned candidates with considerable years of relevant experience.

PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our team as the Program Specialist at the San Diego office.  One (1) year of experience providing administrative support in a professional environment required.

ABOUT PATH
Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. 

ABOUT THE JOB
The Program Specialist works under the supervision of department leadership to support the programmatic and operational needs throughout the region. In this role, this position acts as a liaison between support departments, programs, and community stakeholders. The program specialist will support with coordinating meetings, drafting documents, and serve as a backup when needed. Position Responsibilities include: 

  • Provide support such as drafting and editing emails, documents, and communications on behalf of the supervisor.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate record.
  • Support with internal and external inquiries related to program.
  • Assist the supervisor with processing and completing task related to human resources, quality assurance, finance, and external affairs development.
  • Support with developing reports and other presentations.
  • Monitor and input data collection.
  • Provide back-up support for other tasks within the department

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as business administration, organizational leadership, or nonprofit management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • One (1) year of experience providing administrative support in a professional environment.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Regardless of qualifications, candidates must:

  • Have employment eligibility verification
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:
    • Tuberculosis Test
    • Background Screening
    • Drug Test
