The Role
As a React Native Engineer you are part of a Software development team and you'll analyze requirements provided by the team's Product Owner, design and develop technical solutions or processes, do unit testing, maintain and improve production code, contribute to the performance improvement work, keep the projects technical documentation up to date, while minimizing manual processes and providing automated solutions. 

Reporting to a Engineering Manager in a Blip team formed by 4 to 5 Developers and 1 QA, you will use technology as a basis to deliver amazing value to our customers, while scaling our platform to meet the demands of worldwide markets.

What You'll be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native as part of an agile team with short iterations and frequent releases.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on planning, architecture, and implementation.

• Ensure code quality through unit testing, peer reviews, and continuous integration.

• Identify and implement performance improvements across app components and user experiences.

• Keep technical documentation up to date and contribute to process automation and improvement.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and platform updates in React Native, Android, and iOS.

• Participate in knowledge sharing, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

• Awareness or previous experience in using agile methodologies. 

• Strong experience developing high-quality, performant mobile applications with React Native

• Solid understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience integrating with native modules; knowledge of Swift, Objective-C, Java, or Kotlin is a plus.

• Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, Detox) and automated testing practices.

• Knowledge of build tools (e.g. NPM, Yarn, Metro Bundler) and Node.js.

• Strong understanding of clean code principles and design patterns.

• Exposure to agile methodologies and collaborative software development.

• Passion for delivering performant, high-quality consumer products.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (e.g. React Navigation, Redux state management, API integration).

• Experience with mobile app deployment (e.g. App Store/Play Store processes, CI/CD for mobile).

• Knowledge of mobile performance optimization (e.g. Memory Management, Bundle Size, Rendering Optimization).
  Proactiveness and being able to coach and mentor their colleagues.

• Flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and rapid change.
