About Footbridge Community Care Unit

Footbridge CCU is a 20 bed service which operates under a framework of recovery orientated practice, utilizing the strengths model. It is a 24 hour residential mental health service.

We support individuals with their recovery and rehab needs, help to maximize support services such as NDIS packages, and support complex discharge planning for residents



About the Role
You will be working at St Vincent’s Footbridge Community Care Unit, providing a high standard of care in accordance with the Strengths model of recovery orientated practice. You will take allocated residents during your shift work, and will also provide case management to a small designated number of residents.

Duties will include undertaking MSE and risk assessments, administration of prescribed medications and case management. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Classifications for this position will range from Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 NP11-NP70 ($68,541 - $96,808 per annum pro rata)



Your Contribution

  • Diploma or Degree (minimum) in nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) registration. 
  • A current Victorian driver’s license. 
  • knowledge of a recovery oriented, community based psychosocial approach promoting social connectedness and inclusion
  • High level communication skills, written and verbal
  • Well-developed ability to develop care plans that are creative and flexible
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
