Description
 

Location: This role is onsite at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, code, maintain, and execute simple to complex database programs for extracting and presenting data for standard and ad hoc reporting. Utilize statistical programming tools to identify patterns and trends in data. Assist in sampling design, sample selection, and relevant projections. Perform statistical validations of sampling and related projections. Assist with preparing charts, illustrations, graphics, and narrative reports to explain findings.

  • Assist with developing complex statistical analysis, including standard reporting, AD HOC reporting, and data mining tools. Assists with sophisticated data interpretation, compilation, and verification to guide departmental efforts.

  • Assist in developing project plans and system life cycle maintenance, developing change requests and test plans impacting existing databases, and researching new data sources.

  • Verify data in existing databases and assist in data collection and management of existing databases. Create supporting documentation outlining procedures within the scope of responsibility.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:

  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, or other related fields.

  • Degree Equivalency: 4 years of job-related work experience or Associate's and 2 years of job-related work experience

  • Required Experience: 2 years of statistical programming or statistical interpretation

  • Required Software and tools: Microsoft Office

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Good organizational, customer service, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to use complex mathematical calculations.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of mathematical or statistical concepts.

  • Relevant computer programming skills.

We Prefer That You Have The Following:

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics/Biostatistics, mathematics, computer science, or other job-related field

  • Preferred Work Experience: 2 years experience with statistical practices. 2 years relational database experience. (may be concurrent)

  • Able to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience

  • Able to communicate in large groups
