What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Patient Safety Clinician Lead who will be responsible for overseeing and implementing medication safety programs, policies, and protocols in support of members seen at WW Clinic. Your role will involve identifying safety events, potential medication errors, analyzing root causes, and implementing preventive strategies to enhance patient safety. Collaborating closely with cross-functional healthcare teams, you will conduct assessments, provide education, and facilitate continuous improvement in patient safety processes.
What you’ll do:
Patient Safety Lead Duties (50% of role):
You will conduct a comprehensive review of patient safety data for WW Clinic members.
You will monitor and respond to Patient Safety channels to address individual case pain points, adhering to SLAs.
You will serve as the point of contact and escalation for safety cases involving clinicians.
You will assist in resolving safety incidents or escalate to clinical leadership when necessary.
You will identify and analyze patient safety events, potential medication errors, and implement preventive strategies and corrective measures.
You will analyze incidents and near-misses, recommending and implementing preventive and corrective measures.
You will help develop and implement medication safety initiatives and best practices.
You will contribute to Patient Safety Monitoring Committee meetings and other relevant
You will consistently maintain an up-to-date understanding of all relevant policies to ensure compliance and effective decision-making
You will collaborate with cross-functional healthcare teams to promote a culture of safety and quality improvement.
You will collaborate with members of the Clinical Leadership team and other cross-functional teams as relevant(e.g. MXMs, RDs, product) to ensure that Clinician education aligns with the overall goals of patient care, practice goals and quality improvement at WW Clinic.
Interface directly with Clinicians on a daily basis - provide training/information, help problem solve, and proactively develop solutions.
Identify trends or gaps in patient safety workflows and clinical workflows based on Clinician feedback.
Direct Patient Care (50%)
Maintain a patient panel resulting in greater than or equal to 1250 points per month (~20 hours per week)
Who You Are:
You have at least 3 years of experience in telehealth or 6+ months at your current role within WW Clinic.
You have interest or experience in patient safety and/or quality assurance and/or clinical leadership.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a comfort level interacting with people of various backgrounds, including medical professionals and technical teams.
You have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, maintain a quick workflow, and manage projects.
You have excellent problem-solving skill with the ability to look at problems from multiple angles, maintain objectivity, have informed decision making and be empathetic.
You have high attention to detail and are very organized and resourceful.
You are excited to be a part of a fast-paced startup environment and are not intimidated by an ever-changing landscape.
You are a nurse practitioner or physician with at least 5-10 years of healthcare experience
