What you'll do...

Position: Software Engineer III

Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties:  Guide small to large-sized complex projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; researching and identifying alternative solutions; determining needed solution based on return on investment and value add to the business; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; identifying areas of opportunity; interpreting information and identifying a solution; ensuring solution is sustainable across implementation and use; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs. Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues; engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; developing solutions; driving the development of an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; and completing online documentation. Conduct discovery, estimation, architecture design, and development of applications. Onboard new carriers for container journey tracking events.  Work on Nashorn scripts for dynamic Carrier URL, headers forming, and fetching the API response information. Develop test suites for classes using Junit, TestNG, and Mockito. Create a dashboard on Splunk for Carrier integration monitoring and tracking of the request codes on carrier level. Implement database operations using Spring Cosmos Repository. Troubleshoot and fix critical issues during new releases and operational support.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology, or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills Required: Experience with microservices architecture. Experience with Java and C++ object oriented programming languages. Experience with distributed event streaming platform Kafka. Experience with web application development frameworks including Angular, React, and NodeJS. Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant and high performance applications. Experience working on Google Cloud Platform. Experience with application development using Spring and Spring Boot frameworks. Experience developing and maintaining test suites using JUnit framework. Experience designing and implementing REST based API web services using Java. Experience with Relational Database Management Systems including Oracle and MySQL. Experience with NoSQL databases including Cassandra. Experience monitoring and creating dashboards and alerts using Splunk and Grafana. Experience automating software development by building, testing, deploying code using CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Jira, Maven, SonarQube, and GitHub. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $174,518/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
