About the Job: 
 
We are looking for a Staff Level Frontend Engineer to make a profound impact in the development of high-impact, well-performing user experiences for our various products. You'll use modern front-end technologies to deliver performant, modular, and maintainable front-end code. The primary technologies we use daily include React, TypeScript, and Storybook. Responsibilities:

  • Build and expand our data analysis products and data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js)
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver user-facing features
  • Actively improve product features for some of the largest companies in the world
  • Write unit, integration, and load tests as necessary
  • Actively participate in code reviews
  • Write and review technical proposals
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

Qualifications:

  • Experience with client-side web development
  • Familiarity with computer science fundamentals such as data structures, distributed systems, concurrency, and threading
  • A commitment to working in a communicative and collaborative environment
  • You write code that can be easily understood by others, with an eye towards maintainability
  • You hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems
  • You value high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices

Pay

Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level 5:

  • Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or New York City Metropolitan Area (if not Bay area specific role): $200,000 - $235,000**
  • Zone 2: Boston, DC, Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Seattle: $180,000 - $212,000**
  • Zone 3: All other US locations: $170,000 - $200,000**

*Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits in addition to salary.
