Job Title: Senior Manager, Product Security Officer

Position Overview:

As the Senior Manager, Product Security Officer, you will drive security for different business units supporting device-based as well as cloud-based products at Insulet.  You will participate in product planning and launch meetings, identify security requirements for products and translate these into implementable controls and security tests for the Product Security technical teams. You will manage multiple projects with a degree of impact and complexity that must be carefully controlled to support the internal business unit security requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive security across all Insulet’s hardware, software, and cloud-based products ensuring that the products comply with the Insulet’s Product Security Strategy and align with FDA’s pre-market and post-market cybersecurity policies.
  • Engage and collaborate with the leaders and team members of product, security, Quality, Regulatory, and Architecture teams to identify their security requirements and assist them in implementing the respective security controls.
  • Assist in conducting threat modelling, supporting Vulnerability Disclosure programs, and ensuring that all reported vulnerabilities are validated, triaged and disclosed per the FDA/CISA guidelines.
  • Champion secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and secure design principles.
  • Train and educate cross-functional stakeholders on security best practices and procedures.
  • Support security audits and compliance for all Insulet Products.
  • Monitor industry trends and developments in security technology to ensure compliance with the latest standards.
  • Assist with incident response in the event of a security breach.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science, or equivalent practical experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills and demonstrated experience of embracing and resolving conflict.
  • 5+ years in managing direct reports.
  • 10+ years in cybersecurity with a breadth in application security, product security, infrastructure security.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-security for at least Amazon and Azure.
  • Experience in engaging with multiple cross-functional stakeholders such as engineering/operations teams, internal business units, external incident response teams.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are preferred.

  • Effectively communicate complex information, concepts, and ideas in a clear and organized manner through verbal, written, and visual mechanisms.
  • Strong collaboration skills and an ability to work with cross-functional teams across the security and privacy organization and broader Corporate Technology organization.
  • Ability to work with virtual and global teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience balancing security needs with broader business objectives.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,200.00 - $216,650.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
