BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a Senior Cyber Security Tools Engineer.


In this fully remote role on our IAM Security Solutions team, you’ll tackle complex configuration and connection management challenges across a variety of Identity and Access Management tools. Your work will drive platform modernization and advance our connection management strategies.

 

As a senior engineer, you will:

  • Implement new configurations using cutting-edge security tooling

  • Lead long-term planning and project prioritization

  • Shape the technology vision for IAM solutions

In order to excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated expertise in IAM platforms, including the PingIdentity suite

  • Strong ability to articulate, document, and implement industry best practices in security protocols, federation, and encryption

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  •  Lead implementation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of multiple security technologies
  • Act as a technical expert on the tools and technology supported
  • Provide on-call support on a rotational basis
  • Collaborate with other information security teams to mature the security tool portfolio
  • Assist in technical development and growth of Cyber Security Tools Engineers
  • Participate in Agile Scrum to manage workload and may act as Scrum Master for the team

  

Job Qualifications

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment.

 

Experience

  • 4 years - Experience in Security Engineering or in a related field required

 

Skills/Certifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability.
  • Experience configuring and administering an application in a mid-to-large scale enterprise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint)
  • Must be a team player, be organized, and have the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  •  Proven organizational, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
