JOB: Software Engineer

Location: Germany - Jena

Elevate Software Delivery as our Next DevOps & Automation Engineer

Bridge the gap between software development and IT operations by automating processes, optimizing continuous integration, and elevating our system reliability. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining central services and building automated testing environments that seamlessly integrate embedded systems to ensure smooth, high-quality software delivery.

In this role, you will directly influence the speed and reliability of our software releases by building robust automation pipelines and modernizing central infrastructure for complex, embedded system environments.

Key Exciting Responsibilities:
• Operate and enhance central pipeline services, web servers, and database environments to streamline delivery.
• Architect and execute automated integration tests tailored for advanced embedded systems.
• Evaluate, test, and implement emerging software tools to continually upgrade team capabilities.
• Safeguard system resilience and data integrity by managing backup infrastructures and monitoring operations.

Essential Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines and executing automated software testing.
• Strong background in both Windows and GNU/Linux system administration.
• Solid proficiency in C# or a similar programming language for test automation and scripting.
• Proactive mindset with a track record of taking initiative to solve complex operational challenges.

Bonus Points For:
• Practical experience in database administration and maintenance.
• Familiarity with cyber security concepts and best practices.
• Hands-on scripting experience using Python.
