Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Software Engineer (T04) to join our Design & Analysis (D&A) Methods and Processes team as the Software Architecture Lead. In this role, you will contribute to advancing engineering capabilities by developing tailored software solutions that enable and optimize complex workflows for the design and analysis of Solid Rocket Motors. This position is based on-site at our Promontory, UT facility.
As the Software Architecture Lead, you will apply your expertise in software development and architecture to guide and oversee the design of custom modeling and simulation software. A key focus will be on integrating new tools into existing engineering workflows to enhance efficiency and streamline processes. Additionally, you will develop and architect solutions to improve the team’s software development capabilities, such as advanced continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. This is a unique opportunity to join a talented and diverse team, where your work will directly contribute to advancements that shape the future of the aerospace and defense industry.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
