Job Description

The Automotive Business Forecasting Team supports the Automotive Division's decision-making by managing data flow, ensuring forecast accuracy, and providing insights across functional teams. The role collaborates closely with sales, supply chain, finance, and engineering to drive informed business strategies through detailed planning and analysis.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Forecasting Project Support
    • Meet with project team and subject matter experts to document business processes
    • Perform and record user testing of new system
    • Assist project leads with additional tasks as assigned
  • Customer Team Data
    • Assist Automotive Forecast Manager in the monthly Sales Meeting with customer teams.
      • Record sales, program management, order management, and other functional team input during the meeting.
      • Accurate and timely updates to the business forecast in the Saphran forecasting system.
      • Support decision making through the generation of periodic and as needed reports.
    • Provide monthly reporting information to organization of forecast summary data in order to help drive accurate business decision making.
      • Support monthly Sales and Operations Meeting with Industry and organization specific information.

 

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Candidate for MBA or BA/BS in business/finance/marketing.
  • Proficient with computer software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office especially Excel required.
  • Quantitative skill set desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Very detail oriented and thorough in analysis of situations.
  • Ability to work on many different assignments at the same time.

 

COMMUNICATION / WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to the Manager, ASD Forecasting
  • Significant internal contacts with automotive customer and account managers, program managers, material planning, and finance.
  • External communication with customers, vendors as needed.
