Your Role: Own the Challenge

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional and global sourcing initiatives, either under the leadership of a regional Category Manager or independently for projects within a defined threshold. On a daily basis, you will be responsible for purchasing materials in accordance with required technical specifications, pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms. You will also demonstrate your expertise by ensuring that all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures.


The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This position contributes to the management of the Materials Category across the United States, Mexico, and Canada for the Electrification Business Unit.

 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of regional and global sourcing strategies in close alignment with category leadership.
  • Negotiate agreements with key suppliers and periodically update price lists, terms, and conditions.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies for the category team and specific sourcing initiatives.
  • Draft local contract amendments to framework agreements at the country level and maintain/ update framework contracts.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing, category management or related fields; experience with indirect materials is a plus.
  • Digital savvy and AI capabilities in procurement, with hands-on experience using AI tools in daily work basis.
  • Experience in contract management, including the ability to analyze agreements and negotiate legal terms in coordination with the Legal team.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex supplier proposals and agreements.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP Ariba, Apadua, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Availability to travel; valid visa and passport are desirable.
  • International experience is considered an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree completed required.
