CVS Health is on a mission to transform healthcare. With a shared purpose to help people on their path to better health, we are building new ways to care for our communities, leveraging our brick-and-mortar footprint of more than 9,000 stores.  At the heart of this strategy lies the privileged relationships between our colleagues and our customers.  The Senior Manager of Pharmacy Delivery Innovation & Operations serves as the business lead on retail fulfillment workstreams that will focus on defining medium- to long-term strategies to transform customer and colleague front-end experiences, drive expansion, and improve program economics.  The projects you will work on are high impact, central to the overall Retail business strategy, and require great creativity, vision, and leadership.

In this role, you will be engaged across all phases of process development, such as opportunity identification, capital planning, resourcing, and leading a team through solution ideation, testing, and defining an implementation strategy.  Given the nature of this role, you will often share your strategic recommendations with both executive and senior leadership audiences and must know how to build content as well as impact and influence at this level accordingly.

This work requires an extensive background managing the delivery of IT work and launching enhancements to field and store teams. Using a strong strategic mindset, successful candidates will have a bias for action and customer centricity that is unmatched by their peers. Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience of developing, implementing and executing programs

  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful leadership experience in a highly competitive multi-unit environment. Relevant sectors include retail, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals

  • 5+ years’ proven track record of influencing others with and without authority

  • 5+ years’ experience building high-performing, successful teams developing key talent. Demonstrated passion for bringing new leaders along and helping them realize their ability to impact the business

  • 5+ years’ experience actively taking on issues in a decisive manner, while keeping broader department dynamics in mind and empowering your leaders to obtain results through building behaviors

  • 5+ years’ experience leading under pressure, adapting to changing dynamics in real time, and finding solutions that satisfy multiple ‘customers’ of the business

  • 5+ years’ experience understanding and breaking down highly complex situations to deliver impactful solutions in real time

  • 5+ years’ experience effectively demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills, very strong interpersonal and presentation skills

  • 5+ years’ experience collaborating effectively across different business functions, different perspectives, and different styles of leadership

  • 5+ years’ experience demonstrated ability to lead a large team and manage a multi-million-dollar business unit to achieve financial and business results

  • Expertise leveraging MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities

  • Ability to think about the impact of decisions within Retail Store Operations

  • Consistently demonstrates strong executive presence

  • Consistent record of exceptional customer service skills in increasing larger scopes of responsibility

  • Deep understanding of Retail Store Operations at CVS, or in other like external business models

  • Deep understanding of pharmacy delivery services

  • Demonstrated track record of high performance

  • Any additional tasks as required by manager or supervisor

  • Regular and reliable attendance

  • Travel- Ability, and willingness, to travel regularly, 25% of time, based on needs of the business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a Fortune 5 company in retail operations, or something similar,  for a retail pharmacy company

  • Prior consulting experience

  • Prior experience working as a strong merchant, managing a P&L

  • Advanced degree such as PharmD, Masters, or MBA

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
