Job Description:
This job is responsible for partnering with teams to deliver trusted, timely, and secure data and information products and services that align with the data technology strategy. Key responsibilities include assisting with an inventory of applications in the data flow for bank data domains and supporting their adherence to enterprise and global data and records management standards. Job expectations include implementing transport controls, extracting data sets to perform analysis, remediating data incidents, and promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices.

Responsible for ensuring effective day-to-day oversight for horizontal capabilities in support of the Data Quality Control Executive (DQCE) organizations.  Ensures the consistent approach, response and documentation are in place as they pertain to data-related DQCE activities.  Maintains and improves internal data control practices to ensure rapid deployment of resources to most critical business needs. Provides regular communications on status of overall support in this capability.

Provides day-to-day oversight of data-related DQCE activities as they apply to specific DQCE organizations. Partners with the Data Management teams to ensure appropriate testing of DQCE-impacted processes, especially as they pertain to the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Policy/Standards and the technology controls leveraged within those test cases. Maintains key data domain stakeholders’ scope of responsibility and overall program compliance status. Collaborate with peers to strive towards continuous improvement across DQCE processes supporting Operational Excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with various teams across technology and supports the planning and execution of data analysis and reporting
  • Prepares and analyzes data to provide stakeholders with business insights to help solve problems
  • Establishes tools and reports to support proper testing activities for data flows and maintenance procedures for large scale databases
  • Liaises between the business and technology teams to ensure systems and applications support business needs and specifications
  • Mentors employees on capabilities needed to obtain and analyze large and complex data sets and teaches domain expertise to understand the business purpose of the data
  • Ensures Data Governance and Data Management practices are followed in the creation, consumption, and delivery of data

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 Years Enterprise Data Management Policy/Standards experience
  • 3 years Knowledge of Data Technology Controls
  • 2 years of Compliance & Operational Risk experience                                                        

Key Business Skills:

  • Firm understanding of EDM policy, standards, and processes
  • Excellent working knowledge of data technology controls
  • Ensure process controls, data validation activities, and measurement processes remain timely and relevant. 
  • Operational Excellence – drive continuous process improvement and/or automation across the DQCE organizations for data governance, data change and regulatory/audit/compliance activities
  • Develop and influence business processes necessary to support business needs
  • Manage and influence across vertical organizations to achieve common objectives
