Job Overview

Under general direction of the Terminal Manager, provides front-line supervision, monitoring and coaching of Agents and Guest Assistants and performs routine daily operational matters on assigned shift.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinates and implements projects and work assignments, monitors the performance of shift subordinates, provides recommendations to management on performance evaluations, establishes schedules, interviews, and recommends hiring of new personnel, and trains new personnel to ensure accuracy and equality of staff performance in order to meet the organization’s goals.

  • Recommends program policy and procedure changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Airport’s ground transportation and parking regulation program, evaluates program’s effectiveness and provides enhancement recommendations for the program.

  • Receives, investigates and resolves complaints in the field and over the telephone regarding ground transportation and parking regulations program.

  • Coordinates proper training procedures for shift subordinates to ensure staff have all the information and equipment necessary to perform their jobs and meet the goals of the organization.

  • Reviews and prepares daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activity and special project reports to track productivity and evaluate the program’s effectiveness.

  • Tracks shift subordinates’ daily timecards and monthly attendance records.

  • Patrols and monitors parking area for violations and initiates appropriate action (issues parking citations) to ensure compliance with airport parking resolutions, rules or orders.

  • Counsels ground transportation operators. Testifies at ground transportation appeal hearings and parking adjudication hearings and in municipal court to provide case-related information.

  • Interviews, selects, trains, and evaluates personnel.

  • Assists in the evacuation of the terminal area when necessary.

What you need:

  • Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.

  • One (1) year of experience interpreting rules and regulations in a position requiring extensive public contact.

  • Two (2) years of customer service experience.

  • Possession of a valid class C driver’s license.

  • Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of the Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.

  • This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in DFW Airport’s Drug and Alcohol Administrative Policy and Procedure. Applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a drug test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position.
