Job Title: Receptionist

Salary: £24,045 per annum

Location: Alder Vets, Guildford

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: Monday: 11am - 7.30pm; Tuesday: 8am - 4.30pm; Wednesday: 11am - 7.30pm; Thursday: 8am - 4.30pm; Friday shifts will vary, to discuss at interview.; 1:5 Saturdays: 8am - 4.30pm; 30-minute break.

Alder Veterinary Practice are looking for a full-time Receptionist to join our friendly team.

You will be first point of contact with clients face to face, on the telephone and by email demonstrating a professional and knowledgeable impression and be confident working sometimes under high pressure. The successful candidate will have great communication, numeracy and problem-solving skills. You will need to have empathy and a good sense of humour. Previous experience of reception work within a similar environment would be advantageous.

Duties to include, but not limited to;

  • Booking, cancelling and rearranging appointments, Liaising with team members to ensure the efficient diary management.
  • Taking and recording payments.
  • Completing and balancing end of day reconciliation.
  • Receiving insurance claim forms ensuring they are completed correctly and passing them on to the insurance team.
  • Ensuring that the reception area and consult rooms are keep clean and tidy.
  • Supporting clients during emotional situations.
  • Communicating with clients if appointments are running late or if there are any diary changes.
