The Senior Analyst position will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the work of the Infrastructure team. Learn more about the infrastructure team through: https://www.imcoinvest.com/asset-classes/infrastructure.html.

Working directly with senior Infrastructure team members, this position provides an opportunity for an ambitious and intellectually curious individual to join an established investment program. Primary emphasis will be on due diligence, deal execution, investment analysis, portfolio monitoring, reporting, and deal analytics as part of the Infrastructure team’s funds and co-investments program.

As a Member of Our Team, You Will be Responsible For:

  • Supporting due diligence for infrastructure funds and co‑investment opportunities, including preparation of investment reports and presentation materials for senior executives and Investment Committees.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of GPs, fund strategies, and underlying assets across sectors and geographies.
  • Applying sound investment knowledge and experience to build and analyze complex financial models, valuation analyses, and fund performance analyses.
  • Supporting fund secondary transactions, including secondary fund modeling, underlying portfolio company and valuation analyses.
  • Contributing to portfolio monitoring and performance analysis, including periodic and ad‑hoc reporting for investment and portfolio management purposes.
  • Producing high‑quality analyses and reports to support senior team members in investment decision‑making and ongoing portfolio oversight.

What do you need to succeed?

  • University degree in Finance, Business or a related discipline; CFA designation (or progress towards obtaining the designation) is viewed positively.
  • 1 to 3 years of prior work experience in private markets (preferably Private Equity or Infrastructure), investment banking, fund-of-funds or equivalent. Relevant sector experience within the infrastructure space is considered an asset.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, financial modeling, valuation, problem-solving and researching skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or FactSet is an asset.
  • Consistently deliver high quality outputs in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to work to tight deadlines and the capability to handle multiple projects and ad-hoc requests simultaneously.
  • A proactive, intellectually curious mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with senior investors and external partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex investment topics to internal stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel when needed.

The base salary range for this position is CAD $115,000.00 - $150,000.00. The placement within the range is determined by the range of market pay for the specific position, as well as the candidate's knowledge, skillset and experience relative to the requirements of the position and to internal peers. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in IMCO's annual incentive plan.
