TechnologyInvestigates and identifies strategies to optimize business operations and services, and inform business decisions. Defines business requirements to inform technology build and operations by sourcing and analyzing relevant data, reviewing and documenting business processes and collaborating with business stakeholders. Sources business and market data to evaluate the effect of projects on business results. Also assesses the efficiency and the performance of technology (software, hardware and the wider IT system) to deliver expected business results. Identifies and analyzes malfunctions, system workflow, and troubleshoots issues raised by business.
Supports an efficient and effective Compliance risk management function by designing and building automated processes, tools and analytical reporting capabilities to improve workflow, decision making and monitoring of risk and operations over time. The role does this by bringing a strong background in Archer GRC, SharePoint/PowerApps, PowerBI, data modeling (e.g., SAS, R, SQL), VBA, project management and other skills necessary to both develop and manage an expanding queue of productivity enabling projects.
Supports internal customers in designing, building and implementing automated solutions using SharePoint, PowerApps, PowerAutomate and other PowerPlatform technologies
Designs, develops, and implements reporting solutions to meet management and regulatory reporting requirements.
Elicits requirements and analyzes feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes.
Works with various data owners to discover and select available data sources from internal sources and external vendors (e.g. lending system, payment system, external credit rating system) to fulfill analytical needs.
Proven experience in developing solutions using Microsoft 365 applications, particularly SharePoint Online, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and PowerBI.
Strong data analytics and data modeling skills.
Proficiency in SQL, VBA, SAS or R, and JavaScript, CSS, HTML
Experience with database management and integration (e.g., AWS/Redshift, Azure, Fabric)
Knowledgeable of ETL/Orchestration tools (e.g., Cron, DAG, etc)
Expertise with Archer GRC is desirable but not required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Finance, or a related field and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
Supports various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements.
Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
Assists in the development of strategic plans.
Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
Researches existing or emerging requirements & related best practices to assist and develops recommendations for changes/enhancements.
Develops informative, coherent, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering functional and non-functional business requirements.
Applies depth of domain & functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value.
Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
Builds tests cases in order to validate business requirements and End-User Testing results.
Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

$61,600.00 - $114,400.00Pay Type:

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
