Responsibilities

Platform Solutions Engineer will enable our customer-facing roles such as our Solutions Consultants(pre-sales) and Technical Consultants(post-sales) to accelerate the time to deliver their goals towards our customers and supercharge Workato’s growth. Also, you will play an important role in ensuring that customers have the best support experience possible. You should be attentive in understanding customer issues, be sharp at identifying problems, and provide timely, practical solutions and creative workarounds.

 In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Support account teams by being the technical expert who can develop rapid automation solutions around high-impact customer use-cases.

  • Technical solutions expert with an aptitude for technical advising, troubleshooting, and analysis. With strong communication skills, you will be proficient in communicating technically complex ideas to a non-technical audience. You help Workato employees and customers approach and resolve technical problems and design scalable services.

  • Gather requirements and lead the solution design process jointly with customer-facing Solutions Consultants

  • Develop capabilities and features based on customer requirements as well as to extend Workato connector capabilities via HTTP and SDK

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to review customer requirements and feedback, and identify opportunities for Workato platform enhancements

  • Accelerate development for roadmap features to address specific customer requirements

  • Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to Workato’s knowledge base

  • Prioritize and deliver outstanding customer service experience to Workato customers

  • Deliver timely resolution of user requests and incidents, ensuring efficient tracking, follow-up, and escalation of issues

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • Degree in information systems, computing, engineering or equivalent industry experience preferred

  • Experience working with Workato or other integration platforms such as TIBCO, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft etc.

  • Experience integrating with complex enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle Apps and legacy systems.

  • Experience working with cloud business apps like Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, Servicenow, Marketo.

  • Experience with developing process orchestration use-cases and automation routines using workflow tools , Business Process Management, Robotic Process Automation or other automation products.

  • Knowledge of Implementing Integration projects is a must

  • Strong working knowledge with APIs - RESTful

  • Sound knowledge of Data Structure - JSON

  • 1-2 years of coding experience (Java/Python)

  • Sound knowledge of any RDBMS

  • Knowledge of SOAP/XML is a plus

  • Technical background or a good understanding of technology and industry trends, especially in the app integration space
