What You’ll Do 

Global Networks & Technology - Security & Operations is responsible for Telstra's security and operations, protecting Telstra's assets and infrastructure. 

  • Lead red team engagements 

  • Lead purple team engagements 

  • Lead security research 

  • Lead offensive skills development across multiple areas 

  • Develop custom toolsets 

  • Develop skills and knowledge in core telecommunication systems, applications, and protocols  

  • Identify security gaps and recommend appropriate security controls 

  • Document engagement findings and present findings to stakeholders 

  • Work with various teams across the organisation to improve security posture 

  • Mentor and upskill junior team members 

  • Maintain a network of similarly minded and skilled professionals 

 

About You 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a red teamer/ penetration tester or security researcher 

  • Sufficient programming experience  

  • Proven ability to develop custom toolsets 

  • Proven ability to research security vulnerabilities  

  • Research skills 

  • Experience communicating security findings to stakeholders 

  • Knowledge of social engineering
