Job Description

Ameriprise Financial has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Treasury – Capital and Liquidity Management to join the team. In this role, you’ll monitor and forecast capital and liquidity needs, evaluating how balance sheet activity impacts funding and capital levels. You’ll deliver actionable insights that strengthen our competitive position through proactive capital and liquidity management, while partnering across the organization to drive efficiency, leverage technology, and uphold a strong risk and controls environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive monitoring and forecasting of key balance sheet ratios and metrics while partnering across the organization to assess Ameriprise’s capital and liquidity position.  Evaluate the associated risk profile, proactively identify emerging risks, and ensure the integrity of supporting controls and governance frameworks.
  • Lead and support cross-functional initiatives to optimize capital and liquidity at the Ameriprise consolidated and subsidiary level.  Provide analytics, recommendations, and ad-hoc "what-if" analysis to enable strategic decision-making and cross-sharing of knowledge with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champion innovation and operational excellence by evaluating current processes for efficiency gains and proactively integrating advanced technologies— including AI, data analytics, and automation tools—to enhance accuracy, speed, and scalability and support strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years Finance or relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills in a complex global organization
  • Possesses complex financial analysis capabilities and the ability to present financial results through clear written and oral communication


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Mathematics or Finance; Masters Degree
  • Chartered Financial Analyst or working toward achieving this certification
  • Treasury/balance sheet experience with capital and liquidity management
  • Experience with modern data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Python, PowerBI)
  • Maintains current knowledge of banking regulations, rating agency criteria and is familiar with capital market activities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with all levels of leadership

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $107,000 - $147,100/ year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
