Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks an Execution Trader to join our Central Trading Desk team in the Hong Kong office.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with multiple Portfolio managers to operate and implement trading strategies
  • Starting and supervising Tower’s automated trading systems during Asian market hours 
  • Assessing live trading for risk and compliance issues and quickly responding to unusual behaviors or market conditions
  • Working closely with risk managers and trading teams to alert key staff of any intraday trading issues and collaborating with Tower's core engineering team, brokers, and exchanges to resolve problems in real time
  • Documenting, monitoring procedures and logging production issues as they occur

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from a top-tier college or university
  • At least 3 years of experience in a trading role
  • Experience working in a fund management role or firm, including client servicing, portfolio construction and business development
  • Working knowledge of risk control of equities, futures, options, and FX markets
  • Understanding of high-frequency and medium frequency automated trading strategies
  • An understanding of exchange-specific rules and procedures
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Able to work on flexible hours and provide weekend and public holiday coverage on a rotation basis
  • Able to work in a fast paced, multi tasked environment with high level of concentration
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and Linux (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English for business purposes
