Job Description:

  • Acts as a support vendor manager, within the Infrastructure Technology Solutions ( ITS) Vendor Mnagaement office, supporting the lead vendor manager for one of the largest and critical vendor reltationships for the bank.

  • Understand contractual terms and conditions, and their commercial implications to the business in order to effectively manage vendor agreement(s) and relationship(s) for ongoing monitoring of the vendors as outlined by the Third Party Risk Management team.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal TD partners and vendor(s) to ensure business priorities requirements are clearly understood and met, and objectives are aligned.

  • Support lead VM with ongoing monitoring activites required for the vendor relationship, such as vendor performance scorecard, dashboard reporting and preparing governance meeting presentation material targeted for the senior executive audience

  • Support Problem & issue management; escalation within vendor governance models.

  • Drive continuous improvement independently with minimal supervision.

  • Work on contract renewal extensions and as required on certain contracts( for professional services and/or Software purchases) related to new projects.

Job requirements

  • Prior vendor management or equivalent experiences. Prefeably minimum 5 yrs experience as a Vendor Manager or experience in Procurement/ Sourcing in Software/ Hardware

  • Must have an understanding of various contractual agreements, such as but not limited to, Master Services Agreements, Software license agreements and/ or Subscription based agreements and Service Level Agreements.

  • Understanding of 3rd party risk mgmt. & procurement process.

  • Experience working with internal risk stakeholders & communicating effectively

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service & interpersonal skills.

  • Willing to navigate the various groups within the organisation to get things done, while at the same time being adaptable.

  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment often working independently with minimum supervision.

  • Degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field is an advantage.
