Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Assoc. Dir, Fin. Planning & Analysis to join our finance team. In this critical role, you will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities essential for informed business decisions. You will collaborate closely with senior management and various departments to provide financial insights that drive strategic initiatives and improve overall financial performance.

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES

Transformative Financial Strategy and Performance Optimization:

  • Lead annual budgeting and planning to ensure strategic alignment and accurate forecasts while supporting sustainable financial results.
  • Oversee inventory forecasting and logistics, collaborating with distributors to manage shipments and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives, using structured analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  • Act as a finance business partner, providing financial consultation and actionable recommendations for informed decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with business partners to drive strategic initiatives that enhance top and bottom-line performance while optimizing expense management.

Reporting, Analytics, and Variance Forecasting:

  • Deliver comprehensive financial reports, forecasts, and vital statistics to the Country Leadership Team and Regional team for effective management.
  • Analyze financial data to identify strategic investment opportunities, revenue enhancement, and efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare regular forecasts and reports to project financial performance based on historical trends and market conditions.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted performance, providing actionable recommendations.

Market and Regulatory Environment/ Macroeconomic Analysis:

  • Analyze market trends and regulatory frameworks to assess impacts on business operations and strategy.
  • Monitor macroeconomic indicators to provide insights for decision-making and risk management.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure regulatory compliance and adapt strategies to changing market conditions.

Pricing Strategy:

  • Oversee pricing strategy development and implementation in collaboration with Corporate, Product Managers, and Distributors, ensuring inter-company and pricing accuracy and alignment with overall financial objectives.

Business Partnership:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to department leaders, providing financial insights and guidance to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business cases for new initiatives, capital expenditures, and operational enhancements.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Mentor and manage a team of financial analysts, promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Collaborate strategically with the Financial Control team to enhance the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

Ad Hoc Analysis and Policy Development:

  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as required by executive leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of accounting policies, systems, and procedures to ensure robust financial practices are maintained.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

Desired Experience/Education/Skills:

  • Integrity and highest standard of business ethics with at least 5-year experience in MNC companies in a FP&A manager or similar role
  • Strong communication skill, cross-function collaborations and influencing skills.
  • Profound business acumen and analytical skills
  • Leadership qualities with demonstrated capability to build strong working relationships with internal business units.
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex topics in a distilled manner.
  • University graduate with professional accounting qualifications preferred.
