Job Summary/Purpose

The purpose of the Finisher is to finish product after it comes off of the mold by removing excess material and curing material before it is given to final inspection. Finishers are responsible for running a range of machines (cryo, drums, ovens), as well as manually blading parts to remove flash (excess material).

Essential Duties

  • Prepare first offs and audits of molded parts
  • Finishing parts by blading excess flash from molded parts
  • Rework parts if needed after final inspection
  • Load drums and sieve stones, drum parts, check parts for appropriate outcome
  • Start and load cryo machine, unload cryo machine, check parts for appropriate outcome
  • Start and load ovens, unload ovens
  • Keep parts segregated by job number, ensuring all parts follow appropriate SOPs and processes

Working Environment

  • Clean room environment: hair net, personal protective equipment, shoe covers, lab coat
  • High noise level in drum room, low noise level in finishing room

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Hand/finger manipulation
  • Sitting/standing intermittently throughout shift

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 months prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in detail-oriented roles
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Must understand basic manufacturing math
  • Must possess effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED

Friday-Sun

6:30am-7:00pm
