The Opportunity:
 

CACI is currently searching for a Vice President of Business Development to expand their existing business and lead the business development team in the newly formed $200-300M/year Cyber market aligned business.  CACI requires a seasoned business development executive who brings a strategic perspective, strong leadership and mentorship skills, and a track record of success in growing and expanding new/existing business.

 

The ideal candidate will have broad market awareness and trusted customer relationships within intelligence agencies including NSA and CIA as well as within the department of defense relevant to cyber programs and requirements.  The candidate should also have the technical and/or operational background/experience to leverage CACI’s broad technologies, capabilities, and expertise to deliver unique solutions across the cyber customer base.  He/she will possess domain knowledge and creative energy/aptitude to leverage CACI’s diverse capabilities and technology to identify, develop, shape and drive to closure new opportunities.  She/he will have proven experience collaborating to achieve new business growth and ability to shape and drive a dynamic, positive winning culture.  The successful candidate will have existing relationships within the cyber community, strong personal reputation and integrity, and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships across the close knit and insular intelligence community.

 

The role will report to the SVP of Business Development for the Space, Cyber, C3I and Spectrum Superiority Markets and will directly support the Cyber Line of Business Leader.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Coach the Cyber business development team to achieve growth within the Cyber Market; be a strategic voice on the leadership team.
  • Build the pipeline for organic growth by ensuring excellence in delivery of full life cycle business development activities, including strategic planning, management of bid and proposal (B&P) resources, target identification, capture strategies, proposal management, contract award and customer relations.
  • Must be willing to make difficult decisions (bid/no bid) to maximize Pwin and profitable new business growth with limited resources.
  • Provide critical linkages between the long-term strategic plan and near-term new business actions and partner with the Cyber Line of Business Leader, Business Development SVP and Client Execs to ensure effective use of business development and line resources across the group as well as identifying and responding to key customer relationship needs.
  • Collaborate with functional and market aligned counterparts across CACI to ensure winning solutions are brought forward to customers and position the business for strategic, market, and enterprise-wide campaigns.
  • Identify and develop bench strength for business development talent for the Cyber market.
  • Develop and contribute to customer contact plans and campaign win strategies for new business, and on contract growth while also providing leadership and expertise in other new business matters including:  strategic planning, competitive intelligence and market analysis, and M&A strategy.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • A minimum of 10 years of business development and strategy experience or leadership within the intelligence community relevant to the Cyber market with increasing responsibility.  Offensive Cyber experience and understanding strongly preferred.
  • Broad cyber market, particularly offensive cyber, and customer awareness coupled with a demonstrated history of identifying and winning new and competitive acquisitions cyber capabilities.
  • Deep operational or technical domain experience in one or more of the following areas: offensive cyber capabilities and operations, cyber tradecraft, cyber frameworks and infrastructure, advanced defensive capability and operations. 
  • Demonstrated experience growing, mentoring, and leading a team.
  • Strategic insight and execution across the entire capture lifecycle.  Experience with all contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus) as well as non-IDIQ and IDIQ single or multiple award contracts, and OTAs.
  • Proven experience with strategic planning, large-scale capture management, customer relationship management
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build win-win partnerships externally with customers and within CACI, with a particular focus on understanding how to leverage technology differentiators.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify emerging business trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior management.
  • The ability to constructively influence and interact at the highest levels of the corporate structure, including Board level.
  • Excellent communication skills and highly effective interpersonal skills required as well as an ability to inspire confidence and provide business development leadership.
  • The ability and willingness to travel, as required, 30-50%
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or related technical field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Requires Active TS/SCI Clearance.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$181,100 - $425,500
