As the Senior Publishing Specialist, you demonstrate intermediate knowledge of assigned scope and is an experienced sole contributor. For assigned scope, you serve as the primary point of contact and strategic publishing team partner for all internal stakeholders (Sales, Investment Product Management and Product teams) for publication delivery needs, enhancements to existing publications or support of new publication demand. You provide end-to-end oversight and ownership for all assigned publications, including manual, customized and automated materials. As a critical business partner, you bring deep expertise relative to Investment product strategies, data and content, to influence publication quality. You use data and analytics to make business decisions to achieve optimal publication outcomes and a positive client experience.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Oversee SLA timelines, quality levels and requirements to manage client request expectations. Negotiate timing of custom publications based on work-capacity of the team. Develop a level of comfort in negotiating and pushing back on requirements (as necessary) with Investment directors, Sales team, Product team, Investment Operations etc.
  • Ensure all requests meet legal and compliance requirements. Stay abreast of Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) concepts and regulations.
  • Ensure all requests meet the design, brand, and quality standards to be delivered from Sales to the end client.
  • Help manage client/stakeholder relationships for delivery of assigned publications, such as Books and QAR (Quarterly Attribution Report) publications.
  • Consult with partner teams such as Marketing and Investment Operations Data teams to translate research into content layout.
  • Responsibilities include ensuring appropriate pulls of data, charts and visuals, incorporation of narrative and overall review of publications.
  • Responsible for staying up to date with financial/investment industry and product knowledge to interpret client needs to deliver requested publication deliverables.
  • Escalate and manage any SLA or quality issues with leadership team.
  • Manage client/stakeholder relationships for change/enhancement process of existing publications and support intake of any new demand.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and drive ongoing assessment and prioritization of incoming enhancements, changes and new demand.
  • Partner within the publishing team, including automation, to determine an approach to deliver enhancements, changes or new demand in the most effective manner.
  • Participate actively in the optimization process for owned publications to drive production efficiencies and manage incoming demand effectively.
  • Partner with leadership team on assessing resource needs and funding to support new demand.
  • Identify, recommend, and establish publication process improvements, incorporating client feedback to continuously improve and refine production processes, thereby driving faster speed-to-market and lower cost-to-serve. Contribute to development and usage of key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive publishing team progress in meeting client/stakeholder needs.
  • Continue to upskill and develop deeper investment product knowledge and role-based training Invests in professional learning and development of industry trends and products to enhance working relationship with clients.
  • Establish in-depth knowledge of optimization technology and processes and ability to self-service templates and exhibits to triage defects.
  • Invest in learning about data systems which source investment data within publication so improves ability to drive enhanced quality and relevance of publications.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Los Angeles Base Salary Range: $93,384-$149,414

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
