Here’s what you will do:

  • Manage projects through the full project lifecycle from scope development through in-service.

  • Develop project scope based on internal customer needs.

  •  Prepare complete project estimates, including labor, equipment, and materials, and follow through the budget approval process.

  • Develop project execution plans.

  • Coordinate all project permitting, material specification and procurement, and design.

  • Participate in and/or lead design reviews.

  • Develop construction scopes-of-work, schedules, hydro-test plans, and other project specific documents.

  • Maintain project budgets and cost forecasts.

  • Select and manage inspectors and construction contractors, including bidding work as required.

  • Prioritize work and identify opportunities for project or program synergies.

  • Develop a keen awareness of interrelationships with stakeholders.

  • Supervise and/or assist during emergency response activities.

  • Participate in region safety program.

  • Assist region employees and other internal departments with resolving procedural, technical, and compliance issues.

  • Supports due diligence efforts for mergers and acquisitions as needed.

  • Assist U.S. Projects personnel with large capital projects that impact the region.

  • Provide 24-hour emergency and operations call-out support.

Who you are:

You have the following education and experience:

  • Seven or more years of operational project experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and computer skills.

  • Must have proven leadership skills and ability to prioritize heavy workloads.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction services preferred.

  • Project management experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Area of responsibility: Southwest Region – Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Illinois, with a primary focus in Illinois

  • Office environment with frequent field trips to construction sites and stations along the system

  • Indoor and outdoor work in areas where pipeline maintenance is conducted.

  • Overnight travel and extended days of up to 16 hours as the job dictates throughout the year.

  • May be required to support work or emergency response activities during off hours

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
