Freese and Nichols is currently searching for an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager with their PE license to join our Transmission & Utilities team in our Pearland or Houston, Texas office.

The Project Manager will be responsible for technical project delivery, team management, and client management. Additionally, this individual will also work with the project team to perform analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications for various water and wastewater utilities projects. Candidates must have a mix of technical experience including but not limited to water and wastewater design of utility pipelines, lift stations, pump stations, coordination of civil/structural/mechanical/electrical design, and construction contract administration and management. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as independently. Candidates must have a proven ability to build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients, both internal and external, as well as representatives of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience - 8+ years of related water and wastewater utilities and/or treatment experience  
  • Minimum Education - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Certifications - Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and strong presentation and sales skills.  
  • Mix of technical experience including but not limited to water and wastewater design of utility pipelines, lift stations, pump stations, coordination of civil/structural/mechanical/electrical design, and construction contract administration and management.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as independently.  
  • Proven ability to build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients, both internal and external, as well as representatives of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
