The Cardiac Cath Lab at Dearborn supports 4 procedural labs and 16 pre and post-procedure bays. As the referral center for the surrounding communities, we see and treat both elective and emergent patients with cardiac and vascular conditions. Utilizing the most up to date technology and supplies, the lab performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, while specializing in high risk angioplasty with the use of heart support devices. In addition, we specialize in chronic total occlusions and structural heart procedures with in-lab TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement). The lab also performs numerous pacemaker implants, generator changes, loop recorder insertions, transesophageal echo and cardioversion procedures.

Scope of Work   

 

The cath lab assistant nurse manager is to provide direct oversight and supervision of all cath lab staff and processes under the direction of the nurse leader. May assists nurse leader in staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations. The cath lab assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures, and handling patient concerns in the department.

Qualifications  

  • Required Associate's Degree or equivalent Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required

  • Preferred Master's Degree In nursing.
  • 2 years of relevant experience Two (2) years of recent cath lab nursing required. Required
  • 3 years of relevant experience 3+ years of clinical experience Preferred
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Specialty Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown preferred
