  • pladis is the top tier Biscuit manufacturer with five nationally loved brands; McVitie’s, Jacob’s, Carr’s, Flipz and Go Ahead; and annual revenue of £775m. We are the 9th biggest FMCG company and 3rd fastest growing snacking company in the world.
  • The hard working UK Sales Team at pladis employs approximately 150 people across functions including account management, category management and customer marketing. The Team coordinates the delivery of the commercial budgets across the UK, split into two channels: Grocery and Discounters and Convenience & Impulse.
  • The Business Account Manager will have full ownership of directly managing a customer worth c.£80m in Retail Sales Value.

What will be your key deliverables? 

  • Full ownership and accountability of the account, managing a team of 1/2 reports to deliver and exceed Budget.
  • Ownership of the account strategy and direction.
  • Build “winning” relationships with all Buyers and key contacts across biscuits segments through regular customer meetings.
  • Build an account plan that is aligned to the pladis sales and marketing agenda to hit Budget across the account.
  • Build, gain internal alignment & agree an efficient terms package that drives sales, share, feature & distribution gains in-store for Pladis.
  • Execute the plan using negotiation skills, creativity and energy to land initiatives.
  • Forecasting and delivery of monthly sales and profit targets.
  • Review the efficiency of all promotions and make recommendations on strategic direction.
  • Conduct store visits, reporting on pladis, competitor and adjacent activity / insight.
  • Deliver Net Sales, TGC & NS per Tonne budget targets.

  • SNAM / NAM experience in a customer facing role within FMCG.
  • Top 4 FMCG experience
  • Working autonomously and as part of a team towards business set targets
  • Strong problem solving and solution orientated
  • Logical mind and strong for detail
  • Commercial ability
  • Category management understanding and experience
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint & presentation skills

Desirable

  • Experience of managing ASDA
  • Experience in Impulse categories
  • Branded experience
