Job Summary

Manages the coordination & movement of materials throughout the plant and warehouse, outside storage & yards; Continually seeks out opportunities for improvement in material storage & flow, process & reporting, systems improvements, Leads high performance Material Handlers and Warehouse Loaders in all aspects of interplant logistics and warehouse operations; Effectively manages the operating life of key material handling assets and building infrastructure to enable correct products to be  in the correct location in correct amounts in the most cost effective manner.  Adheres to all Food Safety and Quality Standards specifically SQF systems.

Position Responsibilities

  • Monitor safety within the department to ensure a safe and efficient operation
  • Oversee training program for forklift operators
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and local plant policies
  • Drive plant and department OIR targets and safety goals
  • Responsible for compliance of HACCP & all quality programs
  • Shall understand that identification of any failures in these areas is their responsibility
  • Monitor work methods to manage overall product to meet quality objectives
  • Manage, direct and control warehouse activities over all inventory levels on all shifts. Coordinate with ConAgra Fleet to ensure effective movement of product
  • Fully support SAP systems, all training, and adherence to achieve plant objectives
  • Direct Leadership in ConAgra Performance Systems, implementation and execution
  • Directly coordinate shipping and receiving with plant locations & IMC's
  • Manage outside warehouse by reviewing cost of storage and palletizing
  • Assist in developing cost savings by participation in special projects and continuously improving warehouse process
  • Leads and engages team members to in improve systems, processes and procedures.
  • Leads by example and demonstrates corporate and plant values.
  • Maintains team’s adherence to employee handbook, GMP’s and other plant policies and procedures.
  • Coaches team in personal accountability, giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, problem solving, decision making, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communications and external interactions
  • Troubleshoots problems and implements corrective actions through root cause analysis.
  • Seeks and provides resources for team and provides necessary training that will assist the team in reaching its goals..
  • Conducts frequent Safety coaching and leads implementation of safe work practices.
  • Leads team in tracking and understanding Key Performance Indicators, Gap Analysis, and creating action plans to address performance gap’s.
  • Actively reinforces key CPS concepts everyday through coaching and auditing of team members.
  • Provides frequent informal and periodic formal job performance feedback to team.
  • Facilitates and reacts to non-routine and crisis situations.
  • Responds to and utilizes communication tools (i.e. cell phones, computers).

Position Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, Bachelors’ Degree in a supply chain, logistics or business related field preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years successfully leading high performance teams and engaging team members to improve business results including employee hiring and retention, training and development, performance reviews and discipline.
  • Plant warehousing experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Team leadership skills and project management proficiency
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work as a member of and/or lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize one’s own time consistent with the needs of the business
  • Ability to perform formal root cause analysis to identify and resolve downtime/inefficient operational issues.
  • Excellent communication skills including oral, written and listening.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over an extended time period and prepare action plans to achieve results

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.  The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature. Compensation: 

Pay Range:$79,000-$115,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
