As a Technical Product Manager – Ecosystem & Validation, for the Commercial Products Group (CPG), you will represent the organization subject matter authority & will own all ecosystem enablement, B2B/OEM customer qualification across consumer solid state storage products. Applicant will need to have leadership quality and ability to drive the team all global collaborative entablements across cross-functional teams. Applicants should have a deep understanding of the storage industry, including manufacturing, controllers, SSD firmware, hardware, architecture, security, NAND media, and multiple storage interface protocols. Applicants should also have experience with qualification processes at existing ecosystem partners in the SSD space from motherboards to ASICs & ODMs.  Candidates will be encouraged to use strong communication to efficiently communicate internally between customers & Operations, Manufacturing, Product Marketing, Quality, and Engineering. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Technical responsibility & support coordination for global SSD product development partners, Sales, Customers, and Micron WW stakeholders for Crucial products 

  • Work with the Product Development Leads to deliver Launch Day SSD & Memory QVL/AVL support for launching products. 

  • Develop, manage, and maintain Ecosystem roadmap planning for consumer SSD & Memory products. 

  • Liaise with cross-functional departments to align & meet customer qualification requirements & ecosystem needs. 

  • Facilitate international cross-functional meetings for status updates, bug review, issue prioritization and resolution. 

  • Drive & advise the integration of future ecosystem trends for future product definition and planning. 

  • Provide regular executive & customer facing Ecosystem & Qualification schedule updates/status reports. 

 
Skills: 

  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service on behalf of Micron. 

  • Ability to plan, schedule, and prioritize multiple simultaneous programs and competing priorities. 

  • Ability to manage and direct engineering resources. 

  • Ability to "Translate" complex Engineering realities into customer or other non-technical stakeholder's understanding. 

  • Relevant experience with computer hardware, mass storage systems, Technical & Qualification support (Technical PC-OEM support experience preferred) 

  • Understanding of storage integration into systems and platforms 

  • Knowledge of storage interfaces such as USB, SATA and NVMe 

  • Knowledge of and previous experience with SSD ecosystem partners in the APAC region 

  • Demonstrated understanding and application of NAND flash components. 

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate by utilizing strong customer service, problem-solving, and root cause issue resolution. 

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and work well in an international collaborative team environment. 

  • Fluent in Mandarin to facilitate cross-functional partner discussions. 

  • Team player, highly motivated, self-driven, and quick learner  

Experience / Education: 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent demonstrated experience 

  • Minimum of 5+ years of storage industry experience in a technical support or relevant lead role
