The opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated Structural Analyst at Hitachi Energy, Transformers business in Vaasa. This is an opportunity to work with engineering challenges related to specialty transformers. In this position you will be part of the order delivery process of the most complex and demanding transformer and reactor designs that the industry has to offer.  This role includes hands-on participation in different engineering tasks as well as communication with design engineers, external structural analysts, customers and different stakeholders.

How you'll make an impact

• Perform strength analyses by FE method of transformers and its components
• Perform analyses of natural frequencies
• Perform modal measurements
• Report all analyses in written format
• Prepare presentations of analyses

Your background

• MSc or BSc in mechanical engineering
• Experience in structural analyses
• Skills in FE analyses tools, preferable Ansys
• Good understanding in mechanical engineering as well as in manufacturing techniques and material technology
• You shall be self-guided, systematic, analytic, organized and accurate in your way of working 
• Strong verbal and written skills in English. Other language skills are considered as an advantage
• You will work independently and as a member of a team
• Capable of interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and skillsets
