Job Description Summary

The Global GSI S&OP Process Leader is responsible for designing, governing, and continuously improving the company’s end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across the GSI business – including regions and business lines. This role ensures robust cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, and alignment of portfolio, demand, supply, and financial plans to support efficient dynamic business planning and long-term growth and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be an influential leader with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain & business planning, and the ability to drive standardization and accountability globally.

The global S&OP leader will provide the insights and recommendations to strategically improve our operational excellence, ramp up and competitiveness across GSI; He/she reports directly to GSI Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Job Description

Main Responsibilities

S&OP Strategy & Governance

·       Own and evolve the global S&OP framework, ensuring consistency, transparency, and adherence across all regions, functions and business lines

·       Establish and maintain global process standards, calendars, meeting structures, and KPIs.

·       Lead the S&OP maturity roadmap, driving continuous improvement and technology enablement.

Cross-Functional Leadership

·       Lead the global S&OP cycle (Portfolio Review, Demand Review, Supply Review, Pre-S&OP, Executive S&OP).

·       Partner with regional supply chain, sales, finance, operations, and product teams to ensure alignment of portfolio, regions, demand, supply, and financial plans.

·       Influence senior leaders and drive decision-making on capacity, inventory, service levels, and portfolio planning.

Performance Management & Analytics

·       Define and monitor global S&OP KPIs (forecast accuracy, scenario planning, capacity utilization, cost competitiveness, etc.).

·       Build dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics that enable proactive business planning and root-cause analysis.

·       Identify risks, opportunities, and scenario plans to support global business strategy.

Process Optimization & Digital Enablement

·       Champion integration of advanced planning tools (APS systems, AI/ML forecasting, IBP platforms).

·       Lead global projects to improve planning accuracy, responsiveness, and overall end-to-end supply chain efficiency.

·       Benchmark external best practices and implement innovations to elevate business planning performance.

 

Change Management & Capability Building

·       Train global and regional teams on S&OP processes, tools, and best practices.

·       Drive cultural alignment and accountability across commercial, operations, and finance functions.

·       Lead change-management initiatives in support of new systems, processes, and operating models.

Key Performance Indicator Measurement

·       Actions items follow ups

·       Planning accuracy & decisions

·       Lessons Learnt implemented

·       Budget of C&C team; Competitiveness (TCO) of C&C activities across GSI

·       Subcontractor performance (OTD, quality, productivity)

·       Staffing and Competency development plan and Site Manager/ Commissioning certification plans implementation

·       Specific KPIs on key initiatives like tools deployment

Requirements

·       Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.

·       8–12+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, operations, or relevant leadership roles.

·       Strong analytical capability and proficiency with planning systems/tools (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, OMP, Anaplan).

·       Excellent communication and facilitation skills across all organizational levels.

·       Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.

·       Experience with digital transformation or advanced analytics in planning.
