JR64556 ENGINEER, FAC CONSTRUCTION CONTROL (EXTRA LOW VOLTAGE)As a Micron Singapore Construction ELV Engineer, for the design, installation, and commissioning of ELV systems in semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This role involves ensuring that the critical systems for communication, security, and control are properly integrated and functional to meet project requirements.
Extra Low Voltage Systems
Design & Engineering of ELV Systems:
- Design and develop ELV systems such as Life Safety System (LSS), fire alarms, CCTV, access control, public address systems, structured cabling, and building management systems (BMS).
- Perform detailed ELV system layout, cabling schedules, and interface drawings to ensure smooth integration with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Select and specify appropriate ELV components and devices, ensuring they meet project specifications and comply with local and international standards.
- Collaborate with other engineers (electrical, mechanical, etc.) to coordinate ELV designs with other building services.
Project Execution & Installation Oversight:
- Supervise and provide technical support during the installation of ELV systems, ensuring work is performed according to approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors for the proper installation of cabling, devices, and control systems.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and material selections from contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor ELV installation progress, identify any issues, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Testing, Commissioning, & Integration:
- Oversee and conduct system testing and commissioning of all ELV systems to verify they function as per design specifications and operational requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration of ELV systems with other building systems, such as HVAC, lighting controls, and security systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues during the testing and commissioning phases.
- Review as-built documentation, operation manuals, and test reports for handover to the client or facility operations team.
Compliance, Safety, & Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure all ELV installations comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, BICSI, TIA/EIA) and that safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Implement energy-efficient and scalable solutions for ELV systems, considering the evolving needs of semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
- Stay updated on advancements in ELV technologies, recommending system upgrades or improvements where applicable.
- Participate in post-project evaluations to gather lessons learned and apply best practices to future projects.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in ELV systems design and installation, preferably within semiconductor or high-tech construction environments.
Certifications: Profinet certification is required,
Skills: Strong knowledge of ELV systems, proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools; excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
This position involves working in both office settings and on active construction sites, with the potential for travel to project locations.
