Senior Oracle Database administrator (DBA)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle DBA to join our dynamic IT team and play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of our database systems.

You will work in an international environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of our critical banking applications and services while upholding the highest standards of data integrity and security.

You will evolve in a rich IT Infrastructure environment and will have opportunities to learn new technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer Oracle database systems, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations.

• Monitor and ensure the performance, availability, and security of database environments.

• Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to optimize database design, query performance, and overall system efficiency.

• Plan and implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.

• Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, data encryption, and compliance with relevant regulations.

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

• Willing to participate to RedHat servers administration and maintenance tasks.

Desired Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related field

• French and English are mandatory, Spanish is a strong plus.

• Residency in Switzerland.

Proven experience as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, ideally in the financial sector:

• Oracle Database 19c

• Oracle RMAN + DATAGUARD + PARTITIONING + COMPRESSION + OPTIMISATION + TDE & TCPS

• Oracle Database Appliance ODA : Installation, Patching, DR

• Oracle Enterprise Manager for DB Monitoring

• Oracle Ex@CC & ZDLRA

• Knowledge Languages & OS: SQL, PL-SQL, Unix Scripting, Linux, Solaris, Windows

• Experience with data Modeling

• Plus: Oracle Key Vault, Oracle Advanced Security, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Cyberark, Openshift, DB Docking

• Plus : Red Hat Administration and automation skills.
