Front Office Support Analyst - Equity Algorithmic Trading

 

Large investment bank requires a Support Analyst to join their Front Office facing Equity Production Management team. This is a production level two support role in Equity Sales & Trading, supporting the banks Algo plant. The algorithmic trading product offering provides internal and client users with a wide range of algorithmic trading strategies including cash equity, derivatives and FX.

 

Responsibilities:

• Investigating user queries via database queries using raw SQL, log files and process interaction, e.g. order issues, flow breaks, booking issues
• Responsible for notifying the business unit of system issues or failures and carrying out subsequent incident management and problem management in-line with ITIL best practice
• Required to correct system break/fix and user recovery
• Be comfortable escalating problems to core development and engineering groups in a timely manner 
• Proactive & reactive real-time monitoring of processes, connections & trade flows 
• Require to liaise with the Operations department and Controllers where appropriate
• Working closely with regional counterparts to build and leverage tools and standardize monitoring procedures.  
• Building tooling to optimize day to day operations
