This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

We are in search of an experienced Project Manager to support the evolution of our operations risk and issues management processes, and Operations management reporting. This individual will support the Operations and Supply Chain teams by leading risk management process and coordinating mitigation activities and reporting. You will collaborate with Manufacturing and Program Leaders, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production Control to ensure all risks identified are being actioned and closed out. You will support the PMO leadership with reporting deliverables delivered as part of the monthly business rhythm.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide guidance using best-in-class knowledge of risk management and issues management.

  • Work with operations and program leadership to drive procurement and production execution strategies that reduce cost and improve delivery performance

  • Work with operations strategy and other organizations to assess/drive production rate increase readiness.

  • Work with Supply Chain to assess and pursue solutions that reduce commercial exposure.

  • Maintain high judgment and discretion: ability to be exposed to sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality

  • Well-developed project-management skills: organized and focused, showing attention to detail, and following up consistently to ensure results

  • Deliver actionable insights on financial performance and opportunities to reduce costs without impacting performance.

  • Collaborate with purchasing and supplier management to ensure on-time delivery of hardware (flight/ground) to Integration.

  • Provide regular updates to all team members on progress and risks to meet overall schedule.

  • Support management reporting for reviews including monthly business reviews (MBRs), and monthly operating (MORs)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business disciplines.

  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience.

  • Excellent attention to detail; will manage both tactical and strategic-level information and manage details.

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, data.

  • Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational influences.

  • Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, delivering on commitments, and accountability.

  •  Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant enterprise, operations, or program risk management/project management experience.

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Combination of development programs and operations experience.


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $125,227.50-$175,318.50

Other site ranges may differ
