What you’ll be doing...

As an Automation Engineer, you will join the Wireless Network Management Center's (wNMC) automation team. You will focus on daily operational support for NOI to start with, including monitoring Slack channels, evaluating incoming queries, reviewing automation workflows, providing responses, and driving improvements in NOI automation. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain automation workflows for the Wireless NMC. You will also be developing web-based tools that report on the performance and value of our in-house automation solutions and systems. These tools will be crucial for tracking system health and alerting the team to any performance degradations.

You will also conduct data analysis, diving deep into wireless network trouble tickets to identify trends and their business impact. A key aspect of your role will involve interpreting wireless network trouble ticket worklog entries by understanding existing automation workflows to effectively answer end-user questions.

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree with one or more years of relevant work experience.

• Advanced knowledge of operating systems and applications.

• Proficiency in computer programming, such as Python & ansible, with cloud native development experience.

• Experience with data analytics/engineering and reporting to develop key insights and metrics to identify chronic network issues, whether procedural (e.g., delayed time to touch) or technical (e.g., frequent, long-duration outages and their root causes).

• Exposure to AI/ML models, algorithms and use cases (Analyzing the data and generating insights through AI/ML models to optimize the operations etc would be plus)

• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for analyzing complex solutions and problems.

• Experience in operations for advanced troubleshooting and managing the platforms

• Experience with Oracle/SQL database administration.

• The ability to quickly learn, adapt, and convert code to new languages.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or Economics.

• Experience with large-scale IT systems.

• Python certification.

• Experience with JavaScript & React for web-based tool development.

• Experience with the Kubernetes orchestration system.

• Project management skills.

• Experience providing support to hundreds of users of developed applications.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to quality and user satisfaction.
