The Fin Solutions Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the evaluation of and transition to advanced modeling tools, languages and flexible/interactive modeling environments as the forecasting and modeling architecture strategy evolves.
  • Contribute to the global implementation of common data and data standards, common processes and integrated technology platforms.
  • Provide guidance and oversight on all aspects of Ruby development, implementation, and maintenance. Staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies within the Ruby ecosystem.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to project success. Develop contingency plans and ensure business continuity.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure accountability.
  • Lead and manage organizational change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Conduct quality assurance throughout the project to ensure deliverables meet required standards.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for onboarding new models into the Ruby platform, encompassing all stages from initial assessment to production deployment.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions) and communicate with external parties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of work experience in Financial Services, with a background in modeling processes including working knowledge of the following phases: model development, model validation, model testing and technical model implementation / onboarding for production use.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to do in-depth data analysis using SQL, Python and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental Balance Sheet and P&L.
  • Understanding of Transfer Pricing and Intercompany processes.
  • Working knowledge of Citigroup Financial Systems (PEARL / GENESIS / RUBY Etc.)
  • Experience with programming / modeling  using Python, Java, SAS,  other modeling languages a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills with demonstrated experience in delivering the appropriate level of detail to respective audiences ranging from junior programmers / modelers to senior level executive responsible for respective forecasting processes.  
  • Strong presentation development skills with excellent PowerPoint & excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, PTS required.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project management methodologies.

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
