Sr. Procurement Engineer
Leads value creation at the intersection of product development and procurement by shaping product architecture, supplier strategy, and cost optimization for Oral Health Care devices from concept through lifecycle.
Your role:
Lead Design for Excellence (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, value engineering, cost-down initiatives) across new product introduction, platform development, and lifecycle optimization to design in cost, quality, sustainability, and resilience.
Drive early supplier involvement by orchestrating co-design and innovation workshops with strategic suppliers, ensuring industrialization readiness including scalability, quality, lead times, and supply resilience.
Build sourcing readiness by translating product concepts into clear supplier requirements, supporting request-for-quotation inputs, and enabling data-driven supplier selection with commodity teams.
Own should-cost and bill-of-material cost governance by developing cost models, tracking target costs, and providing fact-based insights to support negotiations and total cost of ownership decisions.
Collaborate closely with Research and Development, Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Procurement to influence decisions, accelerate time-to-market, and embed compliance, sustainability, and lifecycle performance early.
You’re the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 7+ years of experience in product development engineering, procurement engineering, value engineering, industrialization, or technical sourcing, ideally within consumer electronics, personal care, or electromechanical products.
Your skills include Design for Excellence methodologies, should-costing and cost driver analysis, supplier engagement, sourcing strategy, and experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning and digital tools (experience with data, automation, or artificial intelligence-enabled tools is a bonus).
You have a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
You’re a strategic, influential communicator who thrives in cross-functional and global environments.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This is an office role.
