Our Member Benefits Division and the City of Memphis are excited to welcome an Onsite Advisor to join the team!  In this role, you will research and investigate employee questions, attend orientations, and interact daily with City of Memphis employees. The Onsite Advisor performs outreach to employees, responds to incoming emails, and completes one-on-one meetings via telephone and TEAMs calling.  The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, able to work independently, well‑organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.  A strong focus on quality and performance is essential and experience with Facets is preferred.  Since this role is required to be on-site with the City of Memphis, candidates must reside in the Memphis, TN area.  This position will be Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST with occasional overtime.  If you're interested in this opportunity, we encourage you to apply!

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a single point of contact and provide first contact resolution for member service inquiries, including services such as: benefit explanation and education, claims research and explanation, member tools and resources, and premium payments.
  • Receiving, investigating and resolving inquiries timely and accurately; clearly documenting all communications.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to obtain relevant information needed for resolution.
  • Provide internal and external support for any special projects that are deemed necessary to support division and/or corporate activities.
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift between the hours of 8:00am and 8:00 pm CST Monday thru Saturday; and work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to work onsite 5 days per week at location requested by employer group.
  • Must be able to pass required testing (for external hires).
  • Participation and attendance during training are mandatory (for external hires).
  • Various immunizations and/or associated medical tests may be required for this position.
     

Job Qualifications
Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 2 years - Experience in a Support function or Customer Service required

Skills\Certifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to handle large volumes of work
     
  • Experience in MBA/PIO is highly preferred.

  • Commercial Ops experience is a plus
