Pratt & Whitney is looking for an experienced leader to head strategic and operational security activities across all company locations in APAC. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting people, assets, information, and operational continuity by implementing comprehensive security programs that align with Pratt & Whitney/RTX corporate standards and regional legal requirements.

The position requires close cooperation with local law enforcement, government institutions, and internal departments (including HR, IT, Legal, Operations, and Global Trade) to ensure a safe and compliant environment that supports business resilience.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a security strategy aligned with corporate goals and APAC regional regulations.
  • Serve as the primary security advisor for all Pratt & Whitney locations in APAC (manufacturing plants, joint ventures, and offices).
  • Identify and mitigate physical, operational, and geopolitical risks.

Physical Security

  • Oversee the design of facility security, access control systems, CCTV, intrusion detection, and perimeter protection.
  • Manage security teams, including contract personnel.
  • Coordinate incident response procedures and escalate major events.

Information and Product Security

  • Support compliance with export control regulations in the aerospace and defense sector (e.g., ITAR, EAR, and relevant regional regulations).
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to protect intellectual property, classified information, and sensitive technologies.
  • Conduct security audits, threat assessments, and reviews.

Crisis Management and Business Continuity

  • Create and maintain local crisis management and emergency response plans in accordance with PW/RTX standards.
  • Coordinate security actions during crises (e.g., industrial accidents, geopolitical tensions, or cyber incidents).
  • Participate in regional and corporate resilience and risk committees.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local APAC regulations regarding Health & Safety, data protection, and export controls.
  • Maintain relationships with regional security services, defense institutions, and relevant ministries.

Team and Stakeholder Management

  • Build and develop security teams across various locations.
  • Create training programs to increase security awareness and foster a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Effectively manage the security budget and vendor relationships.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • University degree in security management, criminology, international relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate, industrial, or government security preferably within the aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven experience in managing security operations.

Technical and Professional Skills

  • Knowledge of physical security systems, access control technologies, investigations, and intelligence analysis.
  • Familiarity with NATO, EASA, and regional compliance standards.
  • Experience in risk assessment methodologies and security management systems (ISO 28000 / ISO 27001).
  • Bilingually proficient in English and a relevant regional language.

Preferred Certifications

  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional)
  • PSP (Physical Security Professional)
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or equivalent
  • CSyPR (Chartered Security Professional) or equivalent
  • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
  • Experience in export control compliance and industrial security clearance procedures.
