Job Purpose:

Our Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will lead a team responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional leadership abilities, and a keen understanding of financial planning processes.

Job Responsibilities:

● Oversee the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
● Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
● Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights.
● Support the strategic planning process by providing financial input and modeling.
● Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making.
● Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business performance and efficiency.
● Manage, develop, and improve key financial processes, including forecasting, budget planning, performance reporting, long-range planning, cash flow, and balance sheet forecasting.
● Lead the corporate planning function, partnering with leadership team, channel/department heads and FP&A business teams to develop short-term forecasts, long-term strategic plans, annual budgets and financial reporting.
● Be an analytical thinker with the ability to identify strategic topics, synthesize complex ideas into clear frameworks, and use analysis to drive strategic priorities.
● Advise business leadership of opportunities and risks impacting business performance.
● Synchronize operating and financial strategy.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

● Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth objectives and long-term goals.
● Provide comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and scenario planning to inform business decisions.
● Collaborate with department heads and senior management to support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights.
● Assess financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

● Continuously improve financial planning processes and systems.
● Drive the financial aspects of strategic projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
● Design and implement advanced financial models and analytical tools.
● Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
● Partner with business units to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
● Champion the use of technology and data analytics to improve financial planning processes.

● MBA preferred.

Work Experience:

● 5-10 years of related job experience.

● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.

● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

● Basic experience of simple office/operational systems.

● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.

● Experienced in providing leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes, and challenges.

● Experienced in strategic management and leadership across company functions directing substantial resources over long time frames.

● Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.

● Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

● Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).

● Strong planning and organization skills are required.

Education:

● Master's Degree Preferred

● Bachelor's Degree

● Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
