Job Description Summary

               

The Claims Settlement Analyst is responsible for timely validation and accurate processing of trade claims in Lamb Weston’s SAP system landscape based on established sales contracts and in alignment with department SOX controls.

In this role you will support all business units and departments enterprise wide overseeing specific strategic customers based on their claim processing type. You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales and Finance to maintain a consistent relationship with all customers for ease of processing.

Job Description

  • Execute trade rebate claims including manual entry of and/or ensuring electronically sent claims errors are resolved.
  • Validate trade/rebate claims in SAP TPM against valid contracts and promotions and are properly reconciled.
  • Perform analysis of trade claim invoices received and ensure claimed amount is in accordance with agreed-upon terms.
  • Communicate discrepancies on invalid claims to customers.
  • Use of third-party system to match customer backup to eligible trade promotions for claims processing.
  • Collect back up on customer portal, bank portal, group mailbox, workflow, and other deduction data sources to gather deduction information for trade rebate deduction claims.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for missing information required to validate the deductions (Sales, BU Finance, Customer Operations and Credit).
  • Work with accounts payable for processing and resolution of valid claims and uncashed checks.
  • Adhere to KPIs for claim processing by managing specific dollars, days, and quantity thresholds. Expectation is to process all claims timely before month end report outs.
  • Follow SOX audit compliance to ensure accuracy when reviewing, processing, and exercising independent decisions on matters that affect the business.
  • Daily review of received claims vs claims paid out.
  • Review customer audit requests on outstanding balances.
  • Conduct monthly touch points with customers or sales team on optimization, timely claims, trends, and any other relevant topics or concerns.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related fields or 1-3  years of trade or non-trade deduction claims resolution.
  • Research, strong problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Excel,  Salesforce, Trade Promotion Management system, or SAP.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan ahead

  • Language Skills                                                                                    
  • Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Spanish knowledge is an added advantage.
