Job Title: Staff Software Engineer

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic regulatory reporting initiatives, supporting production operations, and driving the integration of our future-state data architecture. This position requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to lead and mentor offshore engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Reporting Delivery

• Deliver Axiom platform enhancements to support new products and regulatory requirements.
• Re-solution Axiom code based on strategic data sourcing.
• Support integration testing and implementation of the new Ab Initio strategic data engine.
• Design and develop solutions for any new jurisdictions that needs to be reported through Axiom
• Contribute to regulatory commitments associated with the International Reg Reporting across various jurisdiction.

Production Support & Reporting Operations

• Support monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Investigate and resolve production issues impacting regulatory reports.
• Respond to business enquiries and reporting-related incidents.
• Manage and coordinate NASDAQ support tickets and vendor engagements.

Platform & Release Management

• Lead Axiom release management activities.
• Review NASDAQ product roadmaps and release notes to assess business impacts.
• Coordinate testing, implementation, and communication of platform upgrades and enhancements.

Engineering Leadership

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Axiom engineering cohort.
• Drive DevSecOps initiatives including regression test automation and Engineering capability uplift and development
• Promote engineering best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Strong hands-on experience with Axiom regulatory reporting solutions – especially working with taxonomy and Axiom solutions containing data dictionary – preferably delivering regulatory reporting for Europe.
• Proven experience supporting regulatory reporting platforms within banking or financial services.
• Experience delivering complex system enhancements and integrations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing production support for business-critical applications.
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors.
• Experience leading or mentoring distributed/offshore engineering teams.

Desirable

• Experience with Ab Initio or enterprise ETL platforms.
• Knowledge of European regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines.

Education Qualifications:

Bachelors of Engineering or BTech or equivalent graduation
