Northrop Grumman has an immediate need for a Program Manager supporting the Aeronautics Systems Sector Chief Information Office. The program manager will be responsible for the development and enhancement of the Common Product Lifecycle Management (CPLM) digital engineering platform for multiple programs across Northrop Grumman while effectively overseeing elements of planning, execution, tracking, reporting, and strategy in alignment with enterprise goals and initiatives.

This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective internal and external customer and partner relationships to foster an in-depth understanding of business requirements and will lead and set the operational tempo for CPLM.

This position will be located in Melbourne, FL and will report up through the AS CIO, reporting to the Director, Digital Design and Integration.

Position Summary:

  • Drive strategy and execution toward a digital ecosystem centered around a strategy that enables the digital thread across product design, development, delivery and sustainment.
  • Partner with senior leadership across multiple sectors and within the CIO drive the prioritization, budgeting, resource planning and governance of IT work to support engineering/manufacturing/operations business objectives and key initiatives for sectors and programs.
  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders and adjacent integrated products leads to orchestrate delivery of customer-facing capabilities in support of engineering and manufacturing products for diverse programs throughout Aeronautics and Defense Systems Sectors.
  • Assure quality products by providing leadership to the organization in total management quality techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in IT, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field of study and 10+ years of relevant professional experience (or 8+ years with a Master's degree). In lieu of education, 15+ years of related experience will be considered.
  • Experienced program manager or equivalent with at least 5 years leading diverse functional or program teams driving outcomes and achieving results, including leading with Agile and / or SAFE methodologies and leading aspects of digital transformation.
  • Results-oriented team player, with the ability to handle a rapidly changing set of projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence.
  • Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/decision-making skills, and business acumen.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills, as well as program management, strategy, analytical, planning, and presentation skills are required.
  • Management experience and skills, or other comparable leadership positions, to include management of offsite and matrixed personnel, and employee development.
  • 20% travel is required
  • Active Secret Clearance. Ability to obtain SAP/SAR Program Clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Northrop Grumman Sector-sector specific experience.
  • Prior experience managing a portfolio of diverse and complex IT projects for Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations
  • Prior experience with PLM solutions and deployment of software
  • Creative thinking to solve resource challenges for large programs or products.
  • Comfortable making recommendations that have broad organizational impacts.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and written skills; strong organizational and analytical skills; and must be a team player.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships.
  • DoD service or experience with DoD customers to include strategy development, management and leadership experience.
  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SAP/SAR program clearances.

Salary Range: $142,500.00 - $213,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
