The NTU Centre in Computational Technologies for Finance (CCTF) is an inter-collegiate and pan-university initiative, managed by the Graduate College (GC), with support from College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS) and Nanyang Business School (NBS), and strong involvement from the College of Engineering (CoE), College of Science (CoS), College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHAaS), National Institute of Education (NIE) and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMed).
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join the Centre. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of blockchain, decentralized systems, and artificial intelligence, while also supporting graduate education and key academic–industry initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct independent and collaborative research on emerging topics in blockchain and decentralized systems, with a particular emphasis on decentralized AI technologies.
Publish high-quality research papers in top-tier international conferences and journals.
Collaborate closely with faculty members at CCTF to shape research directions, develop grant proposals, and translate research outcomes into impactful applications.
Mentor students enrolled in the Master of Science in Blockchain programme, particularly those undertaking six-month capstone projects.
Contribute to teaching, tutorials, or guest lectures in courses relevant to blockchain.
Actively participate in the organization and delivery of academic and industry-facing events hosted by CCTF.
Job Requirements:
PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related fields.
Proven expertise in Blockchain technologies or platforms like Ethereum, Algorand, Conflux, etc.
Familiarity with blockchains, smart contracts, Web 3.0 and decentralized systems.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (C/C++, Python, Java).
Strong mentorship and communication skills for guiding students.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and students.
